FOOD RECIPES app TO COMBAT FOOD CRAVING
Course: Screens | Interaction Design
Designed an app for people who love food and look for recipes within their kitchen range. I was inspired by the 'idea' of the explore page of the gallery that sorts images into categories. You could check out the images by the name labelled in the categories.

In this project, along with designing the product, we were also able to do User testing of our first draft at Netlife, Oslo. Following that, I have done multiple user testing and iterations based on the user feedback.
Challenge
I had multiple goals followed by multiple ideas that I wanted to achieve through this project. But on the way in the process, it became a challenge to define the UX pattern(also with a limited time frame), and the scope became complex. To simplify it, and make the pattern more identical, I narrowed down the user journey into a similar UX pattern.

The core learning from this project has been to start small by focusing on one aspect and innovate with it to make it broad.
Design Brief
• Define datasets
• work on the UI and UX
• produce overall information architecture, structure and navigation
• create an engaging and/or appropriate user experience
• learn from feedback and user testing
• iterate and improve the UX
Datasets

Information Architecture

Final Outcome
Getting into the App
Task 1: Finding food recipes by ingredients
Task 2: Finding food recipes by categories
Task 3: Looking back to the memory of food you have in the past or special events

Task 4: Looking at gallery
Next steps
-
User testing to improve usability.
-
Accommodate new recipes by the user in the database.
-
Scenario-based design: Like if the user doesn't find the recipes they are looking for
-
Social aspects- Food recipes created by multiple users, photo sharing experience.
-
Re-design the gallery for the images.
